About Kristina

I am a 4th grade teacher, and freelance writer and photographer from South Florida, currently based in Miami. I've also previously lived in Japan for two years as an English teacher. I graduated from Florida International University (B.A. Anthropology, B.A. Asian Studies, certificates in Japanese and Chinese languages). You'll (almost) never catch me without a book (or three), a camera, and a notebook (with pens, of course) in my bag.

I'm a teacher, a traveler, and lover of all things Disney.

I blog a lot. I contribute at BookRiot and Quirk Books about all things books and comics, which is totally awesome. I also write reviews for BookList.

Besides blogging much more than any person should (and sometimes vlogging), I participate in podcasts, report at otaku or other fan events and learn new things while trying to not blab on Twitter all day. All of the things I've listed around the web and more are also linked below.

As for my non-bloggery, I like going to the beach. I also enjoy Geocaching, hiking, and cooking. I hope you'll stick around for the ride.
