I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a wonderful day with family on Thursday! I worked, and then I spent the evening with a pal eating delicious home-made ramen and then watching a movie while sitting under a kotatsu. Bliss.
Thursday's lunch was a Camembert cheese croquette, which was served with some salad, a veggie and meatball soup, and rice bread. The salad was not one of the usual type - it had pasta wheels, broccoli, corn, and cabbage with Italian basil (non-creamy) dressing. As for the soup, it was cellophane noodles, spinach, onion, carrot, Chinese cabbage, shiitake, and meatballs (chicken and pork blend). It was pretty awesome.

Friday's lunch was a nice end to the week. Grilled sanma (Pacific saury), salad, miso soup, rice, and an orange for dessert. The salad was back to normal: cabbage, spinach, and carrot with sesame seeds on top and dressing from the kitchen. The soup had sweet potato in it, which is always a welcome addition. It also had konjac, tofu, onion, radish, carrot, and bits of pork. I had seconds of the soup, hah.
