Elementary School Lunch: 03/09 - Monday Matcha

Food, JapanKristina PinoComment

Today is Hatsune Miku day! My school didn't observe it, but I had the presence of mind this morning to select a Miku mini figure to pose with today's lunch. We had some chicken and veggie soup, cole slaw, matcha age-pan (fried bread topped with green tea powder), and some mixed fruit jelly for dessert. A feast, really, and a great start to the week.

The soup was tomato-based, and it had goodies such as potato, spinach, celery, carrot, and onion in it. A little more, and it might have been a minestrone. As for the salad, it was corn, cabbage, cucumber, and some pieces of pasta with a cole slaw dressing. Yum.
