Friday's lunch was colorful and gorgeous. Everyone was remarking on the bright colors and everything that went into it.
The main item was some yellowtail, which was slathered in radish and served with some pickled veggies as a salad. The veggies (Chinese cabbage, carrot, and bean sprouts) were made to taste sweet for the kiddos. Our bowl was beyond delicious: chicken, bamboo, onion, carrot, edamame, and the always delicious Japanese sweet potato. I could have eaten an entire bowl of just those sweet potatoes in that sauce, but that's besides the point. The whole thing was great.
Seeing as how there were a few absences (and thus, extra food), I piled my bowl nice and high; calories be damned.
