It's December already! Ahh! Okay, so yesterday was the first Monday of the month, which is when I typically have a monthly meeting in the afternoon, and it always kills my routine because of the timing. I missed the lunch post yesterday, but as usual, I'm making it up.
Yesterday's lunch, the first of the month, was a real winner. We had pumpkin bread, tuna salad, and chili. The bread didn't much taste like pumpkin, but it was still good. The salad was just some cabbage and spinach with chunks of tuna and French dressing. The chili, one of my favorites when it comes to school lunch, was loaded with goodies: sausage, onion, potato, two kinds of beans, ground pork, carrot, celery, and parsley. Yum.

Today's lunch was also rad. We had some mackerel, salad, soup, and rice. Pretty standard stuff, but tasty! The fish was salted and pan-fried. The salad was cabbage, spinach, and carrot seasoned in the kitchen and topped with sesame seeds - great flavor. As for the soup, I really wish there'd been enough for seconds. It had some rice dango in there, along with fried tofu, three kinds of mushroom (shiitake, enoki, and shimeji), regular diced tofu, onion, and carrot. Perfect, really.
