Fridays are pretty awesome, even when we have smelt for lunch. I skipped on it, since it's not one of my favorites, plus it was deep-fried. But I was able to get double salad instead, which was great (cabbage, bean sprouts, spinach, and carrot in from-scratch dressing).
Besides the fish and salad, we had rice and a warm bowl of boiled potato and hijiki seaweed, which also comprised carrot, onion, edamame, and bits of pork. Simple, but delicious and effective.
