Halloween isn't particularly a big deal in Japan as much as it is in the US, though it's been catching on a bit in recent years according to some of my co-workers. I don't think trick-or-treating will ever be much of a thing here, but costume parties and such are something I expect we'll be seeing a lot more of soon. The ones I attended might as well be block parties, and it only happened that way because the bars that hosted them were overwhelmed. Hopefully, that just means more places will want to host costume parties. Fun times!
Our last lunch of the month was some delicious sukiyaki, which had bits of beef in it along with quail eggs, cellophane noodles, grilled tofu, carrot, onion, mushroom, cabbage, and bamboo. It was pretty rad. It came with some salad (cabbage, spinach, carrot), rice, and an orange for dessert.
