It's a day late, boo!
Yesterday's lunch was a new thing, I think. Teriyaki salmon, a seaweed salad, potato and onion miso soup, and rice. The salmon, while good, wasn't nearly as good as it usually is. I'm not sure if it's the marinade or what, but it was tough where our salmon is typically super soft and breaks apart easily - practically melt-in-your-mouth. Whatever the case, I'm glad this was kind of a special one and we won't be having it often. Same goes for the seaweed salad, which didn't taste like much, and it wasn't seasoned with anything. But it had some carrot, ham, edamame, and fried tofu mixed in which helped.
The soup was my favorite part, hehe. It was pretty plain, as far as our miso soups go: potato, onion, mushroom, radish, spinach, and tofu. I say plain, but that's a good thing - our miso soups are always great.
