At first glance, our lunch tray looks completely out of control. Just look at it - some fried filet of chicken, pasta, soup, and this huge friggen' nan bread. Seriously?
Really, though, it wasn't as bad as I thought. I expected to be redonk-full when I was through, but I wasn't. The chicken was divine (I suspect there was cheese mixed in with the breading). The pasta was just plain with onions and parsley (cooked with olive oil), and the soup was chickpea and curry, which went really, really well with that nan. The soup also had potato, bits of bacon, cabbage, spinach, carrot, and onion.
The nan itself had a label on it boasting its calcium content. I checked, and was surprised to see it had 220mg, which is just under a quarter of how much we should have in a day, so well-done.
Today was a good day.
