Elementary School Lunch: 05/19 - minestrone and potatoes

Food, JapanKristina PinoComment

Big lunch tray day! Just look at that delicious pile of potatoes, served with a croquette, some minestrone soup, and bread with iron-fortified chocolate sauce.

The potatoes might have been slightly overkill (I was stuffed after lunch today), but they were rather tasty, seasoned with just some seaweed. The croquette was made with minced pork and cabbage. The soup was thin and tomato-based, mostly just piled high with the veggies and such. It had sausage, carrot, zucchini, spinach, beans, celery, and onion. The bread was just a plain white roll and went well with the soup.

Though I don't feel like the potatoes and croquette went particularly well with the soup and bread, both sides of the meal were tasty. It also reminded me it's been a while since I made broccoli mashed potatoes.
