Elementary School Lunch: 03/17 - double shrimp

Food, JapanKristina PinoComment

This is the last week of school lunches for this school year! I have to go into work next Monday too, but it'll be a bentou day and not kitchen-made deliciousness. I'll share what we eat then, but yeah - Wednesday of this week will be it until April 7th when the new school year begins.

On this day, we enjoyed two huge fried shrimps with some cole slaw salad, some bread with chocolate sauce, and minestrone soup. There was some sauce for the shrimp on the side, and as for the soup, here are the ingredients (base was tomato): tomato chunks, beans, potato, sausage, celery, onion, parsley, and carrots. The salad was cabbage, red cabbage, cucumber, and corn with cole slaw dressing. Overall - absolutely delicious. Would have again.

Actually, I wonder what's in cole slaw dressing in Japan. It's so tasty, and looks way more appetizing than the kind of cole slaw I always saw back in the States before coming here.
