Today we were hopeful for spring rain with the always-welcome spring rain salad, which had those noodly bits, cabbage, cucumber and bits of ham mixed in.
The salad was accompanied by rice and one of our awesome tofu bowls, which had that weird purple "ear fungus" stuff in it, along with tofu (duh), bamboo, carrots, onions, some greens, scallops (which gave it a vaguely fishy taste, but nothing overpowering) and probably a couple other things I'm unable to identify. This is a Chinese-style dish, so it was in awesome sauce.
We were also supposed to have a sort of citrus fruit for dessert, but it didn't work out, and we've got to wait until it appears on the menu again on the 13th of this month. Not long to wait, but still, dessert! Anyway, today's calorie count factors in the fruit as well as the milk I skip on, in case anyone's wondering.
