Today's lunch was pork stamina rice bowl (or donburi), accompanied by watery soup and rice. Pork stamina donburi sounds a lot like a sort of dish that is supposed to give you a lot of energy, and I guess that might have been the effect on a different day, but it just made me sleepy.
The pork bowl had a saucy mix in it that reminded me of Chinese food, and besides the meat it had onion, bamboo, mushroom, some greens, carrots, miso, and green peppers. It had fantastic flavor, and I would have gone for seconds if it hadn't all been so filling. That and, of course, there weren't any leftovers.
The soup was forgettable - the broth really was water, and it just had some boiled greens, carrots, and tofu in it. I downed it before moving on to my stamina bowl.
