It took me a couple of days to get to this entry because I really didn't want to even talk about it. Friday's lunch was whale, and I didn't eat it because I'm against whale-killing. They had it in chunks, deep fried. I took a picture of someone else's tray, but mine had a mountain of salad on it, plus the soup and rice you see here.
The salad today was our usual cabbage, cucumber, and carrot, seasoned in the kitchen, and the soup was more vegetables than broth. It had onion, carrot, mushroom, tofu, and burdock root. Everything on my tray tasted great, though I was already quite hungry again about an hour and a half earlier than I typically am in the evenings.
