Today, I learned that the taste of strawberries actually ties in rather well with chili.
Our main dish was a chili bean soup, which had all the usual meat (sausage today) and veggie fixings we tend to have somewhere in our meal, some rice bread with strawberry jam, and salad. The salad had loads of broccoli in it, but was otherwise some ordinary cabbage and corn with French dressing.
I always enjoy our chili soups, and this is the first time we've had it with bread and jam. I'm inspired to learn how to make it at home. Particularly because I love how loaded it is with good stuff like carrot, potato, and onion.
