Today's lunch tray doesn't look like anything totally different at a glance, but there was one small (yet potent) change.
The main dish was a steaming tofu and veggie bowl, which tasted divine. It had all sorts of stuff in there (like mushrooms, potato, carrot, bits of meat, sweet potato, miso, bamboo and more), and was accompanied by some rice, salad, and smelt. I skipped on the smelt since it was deep-fried, and doubled up on the salad instead, which was seasoned with yuzu. Yuzu is a citrus fruit that looks like a grapefruit or a yellow tangerine or something, and its flavor is sort of like lemon or mandarin, but not quite. It originates from China, which is why it was paired with the Chinese-style bowl and salad we enjoyed.
