Elementary School Lunch: 10/17 - international mix and match

Food, JapanKristina PinoComment

Hello, and welcome back! We survived the typhoon, and I was even inspired enough to start vlogging about regular ol' stuff instead of only when I've got something mind-blowing (or delicious) to talk about.

Today's lunch was spaghetti and Caesar salad with pudding for dessert, but since the kiddos didn't have classes yesterday (there was no lunch), and the kitchen crew didn't want the food to go to waste, we're spreading out elements of yesterday's missed meal over a few days. Today, our tray had the addition of chicken miso katsu, which was... delicious.

The spaghetti was Napolitan style. It had sausage, peppers, onion, carrots, mushrooms, and meat sauce. The accompanying salad had greens, cucumbers, corn, broccoli, cheese cubes, mini croutons, and Caesar dressing. It all went well together, as usual, and the pudding was a hit, as usual. This time around, it didn't have syrup, though. Just the flan on its own. Not bad!

Oops: I don't have an accurate calorie count for our adjusted lunch today.
