Today's main dish was fried smelt, with some salad on the side, a steaming veggie bowl, and rice.
I passed on the smelt since it isn't really my favorite, plus I'm trying to cut down on fried stuff, and had a double serving of the salad instead. The salad had leaves and cucumber, cold chicken, carrots, green onions, and saifun noodles (it's called spring rain salad if you want to look it up). We dumped some regular Japanese dressing in it before serving. The veggie bowl was Chinese style and heavily featured eggplant, which is always a good thing.
Milk included in the above photo because my tray didn't have the fish on it, so I took a picture of someone else's! Of course, the red box there is our serving of rice.
