Today was my first time having kimchi! Pork kimchi was our main plate, with some wakame soup and rice on the side. Pretty plain, but then again, the main dish packed a punch.
With the wakame soup (no miso - it was a seaweed soup), I really just had the broth and extra veggies, as I'm not so hot on that kind of seaweed or quail eggs. It didn't bother me much though, because that kimchi plate was absolutely delicious. I had a second helping (but a much smaller one than pictured above - more like a little top-off for my stomach). It wasn't too spicy because the kiddos can't handle much of that, but of course it's got some natural spiciness to it either way that came through nicely. I accidentally ate all of my rice today, though.
