Today's lunch was Chinese cuisine-inspired! It was absolutely delicious, and I ate every bite except about a third of the rice because the veggie bowl was just way too filling.
We had a bowl of mostly tofu, stir-fried with other veggies like bamboo, carrots, onions, and more. There was some pork in there, too. The salad plate comprised of cold noodles as usual, with cucumber and other mix-ins. This lunch, including the milk, clocked in at 668 calories.
Today, rather than the principal, the vice principal did the tasting. I felt kind of bad for him, because apparently there were two versions of the bowl. One for the older students, and one for the younger students, the difference being a small level of spice added. I'm not sure which one I got, but I didn't taste anything remotely spicy in there. Anyway, he had to consume both bowls in addition to the rice, salad plate and carton of milk. A real trooper!
